It is now possible to extend filters by arbitrary JQL with JQL Editor.

Hover mouse over label 'Starred Filter or Project', filter icon will appear.

Press it and edit JQL in JQL Editor.

 

On Submit JQL will be transferred to the app. If JQL persists filter icon will be visible and colored blue.
