It is now possible allow to restrict to Log/Edit/Delete Work within the specified time in the past only. By default user can log against any date. With settings described , see Log Work Retrospectively setting in app configuration, General tab.

Please note, It is possible it will still be possible to log hours against for any date via in the past using Jira native Log Work dialog. To block this backdoor admin have to change Time Tracking provider to , unless Timesheet/Time Reports provided time tracking is configured in Jira Settings - Issues - Time Tracking - Time Tracking provider.
